The Institute for the Study of Urologic Diseases (ISUD) was established in 2005 by scientists- members of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and the Research Committee of the AUTH.

The aim of ISUD is to promote scientific research, to educate health providers and patients, as well as raise the awareness of citizens on issues concerning the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of urological diseases.

Karolinska Institutet (KI), founded in 1810, is Sweden’s only university especially focusing on biomedical sciences. In addition, KI annually awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. KI ranks as one of the world’s leading medical universities, thanks in part to the quality of its research activities, which today account for 40 per cent of all medical research in Sweden.

The Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) is comprised of a large number of top researchers and teachers in the fields of Medical Education, Medical Informatics, Medical Ethics, Clinical Management, Health Economics, Health Systems and Policy, Leadership in Healthcare, and Improvement, Implementation and Evaluation Research. LIME is now active in more than 40 national and international research projects in eLearning, medical simulation and medical management. With its unique and translational expertise, LIME will contribute to many aspects of the mEducator project.

The Sloop2desc project focuses on the concept of Open Educational Resources (OER) developed by a community of teachers, and is aimed at helping professionals in Vocational Education and Training (VET) to increase their knowledge and understanding of new educational systems that are based on learning outcomes and competencies. Specifically, the project refers to the European Qualification Framework (EQF), the reference framework adopted by the EU Parliament and Council in April 2008 to establish general criteria for comparing qualification and competencies systems developed and/or adopted in EU countries.
